Railway
Tickets
Presently I am having 13 pending tickets. In
one trip, onward journey is by air that is why it is in odd number. If the
Railways further increase the booking period, I will be in soup. Ticket for
last journey, OH! No ticket is required
for the last journey as it will be a ticketless travel. My latest journey
ticket is for the travel from Bangalore to Nizamuddin on 24th October
and the earliest is for 25th July from Anand Vihar to Kathgodam. The booked tickets history of IRCTC shows the
latest ticket in the beginning and earliest travel ticket at the bottom. I have
to scroll down to see when my next scheduled travel is. It will be more convenient if the table shows
the earliest journey ticket in the beginning as I or for that matter anybody will
not be interested to check the date and time of the travel 4 months later. After
all common sense is most uncommon. Common sense will not come with age as
Railways is 162 year old. People should not take a cue from this and start
thinking as to when our great grandfather (or grandmother) is not having common
sense, why should we have?
During the next 30 days I have three tour
programmes. On 25th July to Kathgodam, 1st August to
Mumbai and 16th August to Bangalore. A friend asked me as to why I
am travelling so much, my reply was
“For whom the Train runs?”
