What are the requirements of an Ambulance? In Delhi the first and foremost requirement of an ambulance is that the word “Ambulance” should be boldly written on both sides of the vehicle.  Maruti Van is one of the most uncomfortable vehicles for travel. Whenever I book a taxi, I specifically tell them not to send Maruti Van. A vehicle which is not convenient for mango people (Aam Aadmi) is extensively used for transporting patients. Probably they may be thinking that before reaching the hospital, they can divert the route to crematorium. At this rate, auto rickshaws and E Rickshaws will also be used as Ambulance. Delhi will add another feather in its cap (Government is thinking of getting an ultra modern cap as the present cap has little space to put additional feathers) as the city (or state) having the largest number of ambulances.
