In spite of having
several sports channels, no channel had shown the live telecast of the
prestigious Asian Athletic Championship concluded 2 days ago at Wuhan China.
AFI should take up the matter with the appropriate authorities and take
necessary action to avoid this step motherly treatment to Athletics. Athletics
is the most glamorous and toughest sports and definitely it deserves a better
deal. We were deprived of some thrilling and pulsating moments of the game and
lost some golden opportunities to cheer Indian athletes and thereby create a
nationality feeling in a country otherwise divided by caste, creed, region,
religion language etc. Kindly ensure that such maltreatment to athletics will
not happen in future.

Sure. We are in
regular touch with DD and interacting with private channels to encourage them
to show Athletics events LIVE.
