MTNL
My MTNL internet connection is
out of order for the last 3 days. I made several telephone calls to MTNL, and
every time I was told that it will be set right immediately. The lady attending
the call was co operative, as she has repeatedly told the concerned person to
rectify the fault. Today morning when I again made a call, she gave me two more
numbers with a request to contact another person. I made repeated calls but
nobody picked the phone. Earlier the telephone department was having complete
monopoly, but today the situation is different. Several customers are
surrendering their connections. However, many employees do not realize that if
the services are not improved, the very existence of the organization will be
in peril. While the internet and communication facility is one of the fastest
growing fields of the economy, business of BSNL and MTNL are dwindling. Though there may be several reasons for this
declining trend, unsatisfactory service of these organizations is a predominant
factor. Many of the employees including officers believe in the ABCD method of
working and practice it one by one.

Let us fervently hope that
these premier organizations will not be required to be admitted in ICCU and
large number of its family members (customers) will not be forced to weep for
its premature death due to the self inflicted injury/disease.
It will not be out of point to
mention that with the onset of competition services of Public Sector Banks have
been improved tremendously.
